If you have ever been concerned about it, you are right to do so because, as mould is toxic, it can cause serious health problems such as respiratory problems, nasal congestion, coughing, throat irritation and eye irritation etc. .... so we must remedy it and look for a solution as soon as possible, either by calling a professional or trying to remedy it ourselves.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WHAT CAUSES MOULD STAINS?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Dampness can appear for different reasons. Generally, they appear when water has seeped into the walls for some reason, either because of some <strong>leakage from a pipe<\/strong>for some reason <strong>water infiltration<\/strong> due to lack of sealing in walls, windows or ceilings. They can also be caused by <strong>condensation due to high humidity levels<\/strong>On the other hand, they could be caused by a defect in the construction of the house, a ventilation problem or incorrect insulation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>HOW TO CLEAN DAMPNESS STEP BY STEP<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In order to put an end to these damp stains, you can follow these simple steps if you want to remedy them yourself:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Identify the cause of the dampness.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Prepare the work area:<\/strong> The area where dampness is present should be protected by placing plastic sheeting on the floor and furniture.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Protect yourself<\/strong>It is advisable to wear a mask and gloves to avoid health problems due to the products we use.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Cleaning the wall<\/strong>There are different ways to clean mould from your wall. You can try the following methods:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol>\n<li>With a sponge, towel or brush, use warm water and a mild detergent to remove dirt and moisture, or use a solution of water and white vinegar.<\/li>\n<li>A mixture of water and bleach, for every three cups of water, one cup of bleach.<\/li>\n<li>Scrape off the mould with a spatula, then use an anti-mould product.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Drying the wall<\/strong>using a towel, a fan, a dehumidifier, or whatever you see that you can use and that suits you.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Apply a sealant<\/strong>is recommended to prevent moisture from accumulating in the same place in the future.
